We’ll walk you thought how a number of flexible lighting setups and show you how to get the most from your new studio.

We will be working in pairs and photographing each other this way you’ll learn to sculpt light for everyone, not just a single model.

This workshop is supported by Lastolite.

 

You’ll learn:

  • How to use speedlights off camera in manual mode
  • How to use Canon speedlights off camera using TTL
  • Introduction to a range of modifiers to shape your light
  • Introduction to backgrounds and the benefits of each type
  • How to engineer out ambient light
  • How to create various lighting setups from scratch you can use in small environments
  • How to encompass ambient light and use speedlights outdoors

 

 

 

Delegates should:

– Bring their own camera, notepad and pen.
– Although we have plenty of speedlights, you’re welcome to bring any you have.
– Have a basic understanding of your camera, be able to change shutter speed, ISO and aperture in manual mode.

You’ll get to play with the latest gear, spend time with our experts and leave a better photographer.

We limit the number of attendee to small numbers to ensure we deliver a world class experience.

As with all Amersham Studios courses will be providing:
– Gourmet coffee, refreshments and cucumber water.
– A scrumptious buffet lunch (We’ll ask about any dietary requirements by email a week before the workshop)

 


Our Experts Credentials:

David Newton is a Canon Geek and Ambassador for for some of the biggest camera brands in the world including Sandisk, Manfrotto, Lastolite, LitePanels and Koy Lab. He teaches extensively for Canon across the UK and Ireland at shows, camera dealers and events. He also runs a variety of 1-2-1 and small groups courses on all aspects of photography and he hosts trips on safari in the Masai Mara and whale watching in Mexico. If you’re a photographer, at any level, he can almost certainly help you. And if you’re a Canon user, there’s probably nobody better.
